Nseobong Eberendu
I am Nseobong Eberendu from Nigeria. My desire to pursue a doctoral degree in Agric Engineering was actualized under the CEADESE program at FUNAAB. The opportunity to study and carry out my project work for the PhD AgSE in Agricultural Mechanization and Sustainable Environment in CEADESE was amazing. As a member of the pioneer set (2013/2014), my participation in the compulsory internship exposed me to practical and functional industry requirements in the field. This experience enabled me to situate my work towards addressing the observed gaps. The program also afforded me the opportunity to combine the practical expertise of the industry practitioners, and the research thoroughness of the academia to completely focus on my research. Working with a seasoned organizational supervisor and diligent academic supervisors, has equipped me with practical problem solving skills and positioned me as a solution provider.I chose CEADESE because of its timeliness in running its academic programmes, its support by world bank and the variety of courses offered as well as its friendly and international atmosphere with a blend of students from other related disciplines who interact and are ever ready to contribute positively; by morally and physically supporting each other in research. The staff of the program is readily available to help, encourage and provide me with all that will aid the smooth sailing of my academic progress, thereby bringing to a minimum the discouraging challenges of an academic pursuit.
