Vacancy for the Position of Research Assistant
The principal investigator of the project “Bayesian modelling for structure covariance matrix” invites a suitable candidate for the position of Research Assistant on a 36-month contract. The objective of the project is to use the existing results to identify the “pivotal angles” of the matrix and get a Cholesky factor for the matrix. R function(s) for the algorithm will be developed.
Successful candidates should have a
i.) Master degree in Mathematics or Statistics (an highly motivated Bachelor hold can also apply)
ii.) Proficient in computation and qualitative research methods and analysis.
iii.) Excellent in the use of R software. The knowledge of any Bayesian software such as JAGS, rjags, Winbugs is an added advantage.
iv.) Proficient in writing with Latex is essential.
v.) The ability to maintain software on GitHub is desirable.
