ADABALE Oluwatobiloba W. is a graduate of Plant Breeding and Seed Technology from the University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria with a Masters degree in Seed Technology and a Ph.D AgSE scholar for 2014/2015 set in Crop/Pasture Production and Sustainable Environment Programme under partial scholarship of the World Bank at the Centre for Excellence in Agriculture and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE) in the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria. She is a Nigerian and a native of Ibadan in Oyo State. During her doctorate study, she was opportuned to take some courses which include- International trade Policy; and Agricultural Information Systems andDevelopment. She chose CEADESE because of the time frame for its Ph.D programme and the research sponsorship opportunity which provided a great financial relief to conduct a demand-driven and industry-based study for her 3rd Degree.
CEADESE exposed her to the real world of farmer – researcher relationship. Her research work was on Effects of Alignwater on biochemical, molecular, morphological characters and yield of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) in collaboration with TE-Aqualign Systems based in Canada and FarmVille, Global Concept, Igbodu, Lagos.
She has to her credit at least six papers published both nationally and internationally. She attended the 2nd Conference of Association of Seed Scientist of Nigeria and the 5th National Conference of Nigerian Women in Agricultural Research for Development which were sponsored by CEADESE.
She is a member of Association of Seed Scientist of Nigeria (ASSN), a computer literate who has good mastery of some statistical packages such as SAS, SPSS and STATA among others.Her research interests include but not limited to- Molecular studies in Plant science, Crop production and management.
Adabale’s work experience cuts across Teaching and Farming. Her interest is in Agricultural research and Farming as she has been involved in different aspect of Agriculture. She believes in Nigeria being a better Nation. Her hobbies are reading, experimenting, watching documentaries, Drawing and Painting.
