Abiola AGBENIGA’s passion lies in agriculture and he has been involved in different aspects of farming and Agriculture. He is believer in self-reliant Nigeria in terms of food production and considers himself as part of the crusade for a better Nigeria especially as it relates to agricultural production and sustainability.
He is a graduate of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State with Post graduate studies in Agricultural Economics and Environmental Policyunder thepartial scholarship of the World Bank at the Centre for Excellence in Agriculture and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE). He has taken courses in Information Systems Management and is an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is an Internationally Certified Credit Fellow (ICCF) from the London Postgraduate Credit Management College, a certified Project Manager with Project Management Institute, USA.He worked in the Nigerian banking industry for about one and half decades and half and has also taken short internships with the International Food Policy Research Institute – IFPRI.
Abiola’s work experience span over two decades across Teaching, Marketing, Farming, Agriculture, Relationship Management, Credit Analyses and Banking. He recently quit his banking job to start Hay Country Foods Processing and Confectionery Limited; a value-adding, US-FDA registered and NAFDAC approved light manufacturing firm engaged in the production of a variety of branded Spices and Edible Flours.
